All 18 of Delaware's delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes statewide in today's Delaware Presidential Primary.

Tuesday 5 February 2008: All of Delaware's 18 delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to a presidential contender in today's Delaware Presidential Primary.

  • All 18 delegates are allocated to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes in the primary statewide.
  • The delegates are bound for the first ballot at the National Convention.

The 3 party leaders delegates (the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Delaware's Republican Party) will attend the National Convention by virtue of their position. They are however, bound to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes in the Presidential primary.

 

Monday 10 March - Monday 7 April 2008: Delegates to the National Convention are elected according to the results of the Presidential primary.

 

Friday 2 May - Saturday 3 May 2008: Delaware State Convention.
