3 April 2000: Update - 363 ballots were cast on St. Thomas and 385 on St. Croix. The votes for individual delegates were close. All delegates support Gore. 1 April 2000: Reports state that the Virgin Islands Democrats held elections at the Midland Bar and Restaurant on St. Croix and at Holiday Inn Windward Passage on St. Thomas. All 19 individuals who are campaigning for delegate positions are pledged to Gore. 1 April 2000: Unpledged delegate preference update: Gore 3, Bradley 0. Unpledged delegates appear in the "Soft Unpledged" field. Saturday 1 April 2000: A Territorial Convention made up of all interested voters meets to choose 6 of the Virgin Islands' 12 delegates to the Democratic National Convention (together representing 3 of the Virgin Islands' 6 delegate votes at the National Convention).
The remaining 6 delegates (representing the Virgin Islands' remaining 3 delegate votes) are Unpledged PLEOs who will go to the Democratic National Convention officially "Unpledged". The 3 "Unpledged" votes are cast by 6 actual delegates as follows:
