NOTE re: elections for the GENERAL ASSEMBLYDELAWARE elects approximately half its State Senate every two years, Senators so elected serving four-year terms (except in General Elections held in the calendar year of a Federal Decennial Census, when Senators elected that year are elected for two-year terms so that all 21 State Senators can be elected two years later [to better accommodate redistricting as a result of the latest Census], approximately half of whom elected in such an "all-up" election will be elected to two-year terms). In 2008, State Senators in the following 10 Senatorial Districts: 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 and 21 will up for election; the State Senators representing the remaining 11 Senatorial Districts were elected to four-year terms in 2006 and, therefore, these seats will be up for election to a 2-year term in 2010 (that being the year of a Federal Decennial Census). The entire House of Representatives is elected for two-year terms and, thus, State Representatives in all 41 Representative Districts will be up for election in 2008. The state legislators who will meet over the two years from 2009 through 2010 will make up the 145th DELAWARE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. .14 September 2010 primary: 2010 General Election candidates from the State of Delaware Department of Elections 2 November 2010 |

When available, we post each candidate's FEC identification number, the date of their most recently filed Report of Receipts and Disbursements, their "Tot" [Total Receipts (contributions received or what came in: FEC Form 3, Line 16, Column B)] and their "Dsb" [Total Disbursements (expenditures or what was spent: FEC Form 3, Line 23, Column B)].
