Uncommitted will be on the ballot if at least 1 delegate candidate runs for the Uncommitted preference. Voter registration in the Northern Marianas does not include political party affiliation. Individuals who are not registered members of the Democratic Party of the Northern Marianas and wish to participate in the primary shall declare their affiliation to the Democratic Party when signing in to vote in the Primary. Voters may register at the primary. An initial tabulation of votes will be made after the polls close on 5 March. A final tabulation will be reported after the polls close on 12 March. Voters are permitted to cast 1 vote for a presidential candidate and for multiple delegate candidates pledged to that presidential candidate. Delegates are selected from the highest vote getters for each presidential preference. Tuesday 5 March - Tuesday 12 March 2024: Northern Marianas Party-run Primary. Hours 8:00a-6:00p ChST (2200-0800 UTC). Delegate Pledging: Proportional Caucus/Convention. Voter Eligibility: Closed Caucus/Convention.
6 of 11 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are pledged to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in today's Northern Marianas Caucus.
