Michigan 2012 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions:
Democrats, Republicans, Third Parties


The Gubernatorial and U.S. House nominees for the Democratic and Republican parties are selected during the August primary.

Democratic and Republican candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and Secretary of State are nominated by political parties at their fall state convention.

The Green, Libertarian, Natural Law, and U.S. Taxpayers Parties nominate by convention rather than by primary.


Michigan lost 1 U.S. House seat in the 2010 Census and will elected 14 Representatives in 2012.
