This Presidential Primary coincides with a state/local primary. These coinciding primaries tend to have an impact upon voter turnout. Participation in Indiana's delegate selection process is open to all voters who wish to participate as Democrats. Voters wishing to declare their Democratic Party preference at the polls must ask for a Democratic ballot and sign a document establishing their new party preference.
