When no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote in any Primary, a runoff is held between the two top vote-getters. The Green and Libertarian parties may nominate by convention. The convention dates are 15 March 2014 for single county U.S. House Districts 2, 3, 7, 16, 18, 20, 29 and 30; 22 March 2014 for multi-county U.S. House Districts 1, 4-6, 8-15, 17, 19, 21-28, 31-36. The date of the state conventions for U.S. Senate nominations is 12 April 2014. Texas 4 March 2014 primary contests proceeding to runoff: When no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote in the 4 March 2014 primary, a 27 May 2014 runoff is held between the two top vote-getters.
