Saturday 9 April 2016 (presumably): First tier County Caucuses. Democratic Party Country Caucuses (also known as "County Conventions") meet in each county at 11 am MDT.

14 of 18 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are pledged to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in today's Wyoming County Caucuses. A mandatory 15 percent threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be pledged National Convention delegates at either the congressional district or statewide level. How the Democratic Proportional Delegate Allocation Math works.

  • 8 district delegates are to be pledged proportionally to presidential contenders based on the County Caucuses results in State's lone congressional district (= statewide).
  • 6 delegates are to be pledged to presidential contenders based on the Caucus vote statewide.
    • 4 at-large National Convention delegates
    • 2 Pledged PLEOs

The County Caucuses also choose delegates to the Wyoming State Democratic Convention. Such delegates to the State Convention are allocated to presidential contenders in proportion to the percentage of the support each candidate received at the County Caucuses [Wyoming 2016 Delegate Selection Plan, Section III, A. 6. a.].

Saturday 28 May 2016: Second Tier State Convention. The State Convention delegates elect the District, Pledged PLEO, and At-Large National Convention Delegates.

The remaining 4 National Convention delegates consist of

  • 4 Unpledged PLEO delegates:
    • 4 Democratic National Committee members.
    • 0 Members of Congress (0 Senators and 0 Representatives).
    • 0 Governors.
    • 0 Distinguished Party Leaders.

These 4 delegates and will go to the Democratic National Convention officially "Unpledged".
